Configuring LabCorp Integration in PatientNow Essentials
Overview
This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to enable and configure the LabCorp integration within PatientNow Essentials. LabCorp integration is an add-on service that must be added to your subscription plan before being accessible in the system. Additionally, a receiving facility from LabCorp is required, which can be configured with the assistance of the implementation team.
Configure Employee Security Profiles
Navigate to the Employee tab. Hoover over Employee Options, then select Security Profiles.
Navigate to the Medical tab
Enable the following security profiles:
Labs Access: Provides access to Lab Screen via the medical dropdown menu.
Labs Configuration Access: Provides access to configure LabCorp settings. This access requires Labs Access to be enabled.

Configuring LabCorp Settings
With Labs Configuration Access, you will be able to configure your LabCorp settings. To access you will click on the Configuration button within the Labs screen.

Client Site ID
Click the Add button in the Configuration section.

Enter your Client Site ID provided by LabCorp (a two-letter prefix followed by six digits, e.g., AB123456).
Only one Client Site ID can be added per system.
To edit or remove the ID, use the respective options in the configuration menu.
LabCorp Account
Click the Add button in the Configuration section.

Enter the eight-digit LabCorp account number provided by LabCorp.
Each account number must be unique.
Select a location from the active locations list.
Associate at least one provider with an NPI number to the LabCorp account.
If no NPI number is associated with a provider, they will not appear in the list.

Use the Show Providers option to view or manage associated providers.
A Client Site ID and at least 1 Labcorp Account must be configured before an order can be created.
Favorite Tests
Favorite tests allow you to streamline the process of ordering frequently used tests or panels. Favorite tests are optional.
Steps to Add Favorite Tests:
Click the Add button.

Select individual tests or panels (groups of tests) from the list.

Use the search function to find tests by test code or text, ensuring the correct toggle (tests or panels) is selected.
Assign a name to the favorite test group. Adding a description is optional.

Edit your favorite by clicking on the ellipses button or deactivate favorite test groups as needed by clicking on the toggle.

Use the Reorder feature to prioritize frequently used test groups by dragging and dropping them to your preferred order.

Standard Comments
Standard comments save time by allowing you to reuse frequently added comments in orders. Standard comments are optional.
Steps to Add Standard Comments:
Click the Add button.

Enter a comment name and the comment itself.
Edit or mark comments as inactive when necessary.
