Setting up your Credit Card terminal with PatientNow Essentials
To set-up your credit card terminal (device) to connect with PatientNow Essentials, follow the below steps:
Note: Plug in your terminal(s) to charge for at least 4 hours prior to set-up to ensure terminal can be successfully added
Connect Terminal to Wireless Internet
Turn on the device
Once the TriPOS screen displays, press 0 0 0 1 on the terminal
This will open up the settings
Use F2 and F3 buttons to navigate to Wifi Parameters
Select Scan Networks
Click the Green button to select; a list of wireless networks will appear
Navigate to your wireless network by using the F2 and F3 buttons and use the Green button to select your network
Enter your network’s password by using the on-screen keyboard (alternatively you can use the F2 and F3 buttons to type); Reminder: Your password will be case-sensitive
Once the password is confirmed, the screen will show New Profile OK and then it will navigate back to the TriPOS screen
You should see a green wifi symbol in the top left corner of the screen
An Activation Code should also appear; save this code for future use
Note: If the Activation Code doesn’t appear, press and hold the Yellow button and #. This will reboot the device and display the code. If the drive is plugged in, unplug the device for this reboot.
Internal Note: If the terminal still doesn’t generate an activation code after rebooting, it is most commonly an internet connection issue. Have the customer remove the network and add the network again.
Add Terminal to PatientNow Essentials
Log into PatientNow Essentials and navigate to Company Settings
Select Credit Card Integration on the left-hand side
Select Add New Lane
Lane ID will auto-populate
Update Terminal ID to include 2 leading 0’s then the Lane ID (e.g. Lane ID = 9, Terminal ID = 009)
Description should be a unique identifier description for your Practice (e.g. Front Desk Terminal 1)
Activation Code should be the Activation Code found on your device after connecting to the internet network
Select Save
The device will reboot automatically and you will be logged out of PatientNow Essentials. Once the device has fully rebooted, log back into PatientNow Essentials and you can begin processing credit card transactions!
