Overview

The Health Gorilla portal allows administrators to manage user accounts associated with the practice. Admin users have access to advanced controls such as resetting passwords and disabling user accounts, while non-admin users can only update their own personal settings.

This guide explains how to access and manage user settings and practice users within Health Gorilla.


Accessing User and Practice Settings

When you sign in to the Health Gorilla portal, you’ll land on the Home Screen.

To manage user settings or practice users:

  1. Click the dropdown menu next to your name in the top-right corner.
    You’ll see two options:

  • Practice Settings – Available to admin users only. Used to manage all users in the practice.

  • User Settings – Available to all users. Used to manage your own personal settings.


Managing Your Personal Settings

All users can access and edit their own account settings.

To access your settings:

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner.

  2. Select User Settings.

  3. You’ll be taken to your Account Overview.

  • Navigation options are listed on the left-hand side.

  • Each section includes an Edit button for making changes.

Resetting Your Password

  1. In the navigation panel, scroll to the Security section.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Select Reset to update your password.

Customizing Your Dashboard

You can modify the widgets that appear on your Home Screen.

  • After making any adjustments, click Save Modifications to ensure your changes are applied.

To return to the home screen, open the menu in the top-left corner and select Home.


Managing Practice Users (Admin Only)

Only admin users can access Practice Settings to manage all users within the practice.

Accessing Practice Settings

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Practice Settings.

  3. From the left navigation panel, choose Users.

This will display a list of all users associated with your practice.

Resetting Another User’s Password

  1. Select the user you want to update from the list.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the user’s profile.

  3. Locate the Reset Password section.

  4. Enter a new password and confirm it.

  5. Click Save.

Once saved, the user’s password will be updated, and they can change it again later in their User Settings after signing in.

Disabling a User

If a user no longer works with the practice or should not have access to labs:

  1. Select the user from the list.

  2. Click Disable.

This will deactivate the user’s access to the Health Gorilla system.
