How to Access the Insights Hub
Locate the Reports section in the top navigation toolbar. Click Reports to display all available reporting features. This menu sits between Home and Analytics. Hover over Insights Hub in the dropdown menu. The menu expands to show all dashboards available to you. If you do not see Insights Hub, verify that you have the appropriate reporting permissions. Select the dashboard you want to view. Dashboard visibility is role-based, so only dashboards you are permitted to access will appear. If you were recently granted access, refresh your browser.

Overview
The Insights Hub is the central location for all PatientNow reporting dashboards. It brings together performance, financial, operational, and inventory insights so you can monitor trends, answer business questions, and make data-driven decisions without running multiple reports.

Dashboard Controls
The last updated date/time atop each dashboard, shown in small gray text. Dashboards refresh automatically every few hours - so you always have current reporting when making decisions. If you need tighter update schedules, speak to your admin.
In the top-right corner, you’ll find:
Schedule Report: Set up recurring, automated email delivery for the current dashboard
Funnel Icon (Filters): Focus your data by location, time period, and more
Up Arrow (Export): Download your dashboard as PowerPoint or PDF

Scheduling Reports – Purpose and Step-by-Step Instructions
Automated reporting saves time and ensures your leaders/stakeholders stay aligned with no extra manual effort required.
Step 1: Click the Schedule Report button (calendar/clock icon) at the dashboard’s top. If it's missing, ask your admin to check your role permissions.

Step 2: The scheduling window appears as a modal overlay. The left panel shows all scheduled reports for this dashboard, each with status dots: green (enabled), gray (disabled). For a new report, click Create New (plus/+ icon or a labeled button). The main panel will clear, ready for entry.

Step 3: Set your Subject Line (email subject). Below, select a frequency: Daily, Weekly (specify days), or Monthly (choose first/last day). Extra checkboxes or dropdowns allow day selection for recurring delivery.

Step 4: Pick your exact Delivery Time. Use the time selector, adjusting for AM/PM if needed. Some systems allow you to include/exclude weekends using a toggle.

Step 5: Set a Start Date and End Date (optional). Click each date field to open the calendar picker. Arrow buttons let you cycle through months/years. Validate that your ranges suit your reporting cycle.

Step 6: In Recipients, type one email address at a time. Press Enter after each to add them below. Remove any with the 'X' icon.
Step 7: At the bottom, find the Enabled toggle. Switch it green to activate the report, or leave it gray to save the draft without enabling.

Step 8: Click Save (bottom right) to schedule. A confirmation will appear, and your new report is now displayed under "Scheduled Reports" on the left. Double-check all your selections before finalizing.

Tip: By default, scheduled dashboards use the Year-to-Date filter for broad snapshots. Green dot means enabled/sending, gray dot is disabled/not sending. Click any listed report to view or modify parameters—edit, enable/disable, or delete as needed.
Step 9: To exit the scheduler, click Cancel bottom left or outside the modal overlay.
Filtering and Exporting Dashboard Data
Filters and exports let you tailor any dashboard for precise, actionable views—and let you share those insights quickly.
Step 1: Find the Funnel icon at the dashboard’s top (beside Schedule/Export). Click to open the filter panel which slides in with available filter fields.

Step 2: Use the left side to filter by Location (or team/office). Search or scan the list to choose sites. On the right, select Date Range. Standard periods like Month-to-Date or Year-to-Date show at the top. For a custom selection, pick Custom/Between and choose your start/end dates.
Step 3: Above graphs and tables, change how summary data is grouped (monthly, weekly, daily) via the dropdown. Dashboard visuals update automatically with each filter change.
Step 4: Click the X at the filter panel’s corner to close, locking in your selections.
Step 5: To export the dashboard, click the Up Arrow (Export) at the top right. Pick PowerPoint or PDF. Your download will appear in your downloads folder or browser bar.

Each dashboard widget supports its own filter/export. Hover over widgets to see the funnel (filter for this widget), table (view raw data), and export (CSV, PowerPoint, Excel) mini-buttons. Use these for focused exports or analysis.

In the expanded section, you will now see:
Funnel: Filter by date. It's important to note that the date cannot exceed the report's overall date range.
Table: This will put the data into a table.
Ellipsis: This will give you your export options. You can export the data to CSV, PowerPoint or Excel. You may also print the data.

Drilling Down and Understanding Dashboard Metrics
Drill-down behavior shows exactly where numbers come from—so you can spot patterns, discover opportunities, or resolve red flags with ease.
Step 1: Click any metric or highlighted chart element (bar, data label, pie slice). Typically, the first drill breaks values down by location; a second click may further drill into employee or contributor. Follow the breadcrumbs or arrows to return to prior views.

Step 2: Certain widgets display year-over-year percentage changes with arrows (up/green, down/red). Hover for tooltips on percentage/numeric changes compared to last year.
