  2. Enter your PatientNow Essentials email and password.

  3. Tap Login.

C. Connecting the Moby 5500 Device

  1. Turn on the Moby 5500 and press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until a long blue flash appears.

  2. In the app, tap Connect.

  3. Select the Moby 5500 from the list of available devices.

  4. Wait for the EMV Configuration Update to finish and the app to navigate to the Tickets to Pay home screen.

D. Sending a Ticket to PatientNow Go

  1. In PatientNow Essentials, open the Sales Register and add all items for the customer's sale.

  2. In the bottom action area, click the PatientNow Go button. The ticket is sent to the PNG Tickets queue and becomes available in the mobile app.

E. Adding a Tip (Optional)

  1. In the PatientNow Go app, select the customer's ticket from the Tickets to Pay screen.

  2. On the Ticket To Be Paid screen, tap Add Tip.

  3. Choose a preset percentage or tap Enter Custom Amount.

  4. The total amount automatically updates to include the selected tip.

F. Taking a Payment

  1. Verify the total amount on the Ticket To Be Paid screen.

  2. Tap Tap to Pay on iPhone or Pay with Moby.

  3. If using the Moby 5500, prompt the patient to tap, insert, or swipe their card when the reader emits a one-second beep.

  4. If using an iPhone without the reader, ask the customer to hold their card or device near the top of the iPhone. Note that first-time users will be prompted to enable this feature and accept the Terms and Conditions.

  5. Upon approval, the Payment Successful screen appears.

  6. You may tap Email Receipt, enter the customer's email address manually, and tap Send to provide a digital copy, or tap Close to return to the Home screen.

  • Tip: When collecting payment via the Moby 5500, tap is the fastest method, insert (chip) offers the highest security, and swipe should only be used as a fallback. If a card declines when tapped, try inserting the chip next.

  • Note: The PatientNow Go app automatically logs out after 15 minutes of inactivity to protect access.

  • Warning: The "On Hold" queue is not used for PatientNow Go. Tickets must be explicitly sent using the PatientNow Go button in PatientNow Essentials.

  • Warning: If a ticket is only partially paid, it will not disappear. It remains in the Tickets to Pay queue with an updated remaining balance.

  • Warning: If the app is force closed, the Moby 5500 will need to be reconnected.
