Definition – Pathways: Consult to Treatment Conversion

If you are diligently using treatment pathways, this table displays your consult conversion rates. For additional information, check out Pivot Tables – Defining the Elements.

Note:  This table does not give you monthly totals. It is designed to show a total over a period of time. Since there are 3 referral source/detail combinations for each treatment pathway, you may select them as filters before you generate the table, but they do not show in the report results.

Initial Data Set

Any appointment on the schedule where the

  • Appointment Type has the “Consult” box checked AND
  • the appointment date (not create date) is in the date range AND
  • the appointment is checked in AND
  • the appointment is not deleted AND
  • the patient is not deleted

For the consult appointments above, any appointment where the

  • Appointment Type has the “Surgery” box checked AND
  • the consult appointment and the treatment appointment are on the same Treatment Pathway AND
  • the appointment date (not create date) is after the consult appointment date AND
  • the appointment is not deleted

Report Results

Note: Days to Book = create date of treatment appointment minus the appointment date of consult appointment

  • # Consults = Count of consult appointments
  • Not Booked = Count of # Consults where there is no subsequent treatment appointment scheduled
  • % Booked = Not Booked divided by # Consults expressed as a %
  • # Booked = Count of # Consults where there is a subsequent treatment appointment scheduled
  • % Booked = Not Booked divided by # Consults expressed as a %
  • Same Day = Days to Book = 0
  • < = 1 Week = Days to Book < = 7
  • 2 Weeks = Days to Book > 7 AND <= 14
  • 3 Weeks = Days to Book > 14 AND <= 21
  • 4 Weeks = Days to Book > 21 AND <= 28
  • 2 Months = Days to Book > 28 AND <= 60
  • 3 Months = Days to Book > 61 AND <= 90
  • 6 Months = Days to Book > 91 AND <= 180
  • 9 Months = Days to Book > 181 AND <= 270
  • 12 Months = Days to Book > 270 AND <= 365
  • # Attended = Count of # Consults where the treatment appointment is checked in
  • % Attended = # Attended divided by # Consults expressed as a %
