Summary: This update includes the ability to sell and redeem packages, manage users, and set commissions on the Web App, check-in notifications for providers, and bug fixes.
Note: PatientNow Desktop version 7.0.223 is only available for PatientNow clients using the cloud product and is available as of May 11, 2023. Your practice will receive a notification of the date in which you are scheduled to receive this update. It is important that you completely close and exit the PatientNow Desktop platform at the end of the day before your scheduled update.
- PatientNow iOS App updates require updating the app on your device to version 7.10.
- PatientNow Web App updates to version 1.6.1 are available automatically.

PatientNow Web App
Sell Packages
PatientNow lets you easily sell and redeem Standard Packages and Prepaid Packages on the Web App. Prepaid Packages are viewable from multiple places within the platform including the Shopping Cart, the patient’s Financial History, the patient’s Wallet and while booking the patient for an appointment, so you always have the relevant information at your fingertips.

Redeem Prepaid Items
PatientNow lets you redeem prepaid items stored in the patient’s Wallet when checking out the patient. All prepaid items for the patient are grouped together in the Cart for quick and easy selection.

Team Management
PatientNow now lets you manage your users on the Web App. Add and edit Providers and Scheduler Resources (people) as well as set Seller and Provider commission structures. To save time in setting and editing commissions structures, use the new “Import from user” and “Export to users” tools to set commissions for more than one user at once.

iOS App (iPad / iPhone)
Check-In Notifications
When you check in a patient to their appointment, PatientNow sends a notification to the Provider(s) associated with the appointment. Notifications are sent to devices with the PatientNow iOS App installed and the PatientNow Web App.

Bug Fixes
MyPatientNow
- Can complete patient intake forms if email field is not displayed and consent options are required
Online Booking
- Can no longer add a future date of birth for a patient
Desktop
- Changing a confirmed appointment time no longer shows the wrong time on the confirmed page
- Updating membership cost in configuration does not apply price changes to existing attached memberships
- Using the fast practice switch over a period of time does not cause PatientNow to crash
