PatientNow Update – March 30, 2023

Updates include allowing a credit card on file for the patient Online Booking portal, changes to how the CoverWell by InjectSure integration functions, autosyncing available for myPatientNow information updates, and a new Patients API.

Note: PatientNow version 7.0.222 is only available for PatientNow clients utilizing the cloud product and is available as of March 30, 2023. Your practice will receive a notification of the date in which you are scheduled to receive this update. It is important that you completely close and exit PatientNow at the end of the day before your scheduled update.

PatientNow Desktop Updates

CoverWell by InjectSure

The CoverWell by InjectSure integration now lets you set a specific percentage of the procedure/product to be added automatically to an invoice. You can configure which procedures and/or products to include CoverWell in Back Office > Inventory > CoverWell by InjectSure Protection.

Patient API

The Patient API allows the ability to programmatically create and edit patient information such as patient demographics, address, contact, procedures of interest, responsible party, insurance, etc. The API also supports the ability to query for patient records by filters or using patient ID.

PatientNow Online Booking Updates

Card on File for Online Booking

PatientNow now offers the ability to require a card on file for your patient to book online. Set the requirement based on the appointment type, and create your own terms for patients to agree to before booking their appointment.

Scheduling Enhancement

Appointments of any duration may now be booked on the hour or half hour mark, as long as the provider and resources are available for the appropriate amount of time to complete the appointment.

Bug Fixes

Online Booking

  1. Appointments booked through online booking were not triggering the Email Treatement Pathway steps.

Desktop

  1. The Microsoft token was not refreshed when the user stayed more than 1 hour and 5 minutes in a PatientNow section.
  2. The Commissions and Gratuities report was timing out.
  3. Email Treatment Pathway Steps were not executing if the object/package was in an HTML template.
