Front Desk Dashboard: Overview

Introduction

The Front Desk Dashboard provides important KPIs and information for your practice’s front desk staff. The Dashboard helps your staff operate as efficiently as possible by displaying the data they need to work with on a daily basis.

Basic Layout

  1. The Dashboard is arranged in 6 widgets:
  • Appointments
  • All Patients
  • Top Patients
  • Goals
  • Memberships
  • Active Memberships

Each widget has its own available filters and settings associated with it.

  1. You may set the Dashboard to display a single location, or all locations. This setting is specific to the user. Once you set your preference, you will see the same setting on any device you log in to.

Select Date Ranges

You can select date ranges for each widget individually, or select a date range for one widget and update all widgets to reflect the same date range.

  1. Click the Date Range drop-down in the appropriate widget.

Notes: 

  • Today is the default selection for the Appointments and Patients widgets. If you have previously selected a different date range, you will see the name of your selection as the drop-down header.
  • This Month is the default selection for the Top Patients, Memberships, and Active Memberships widgets. If you have previously selected a different date range, you will see the name of your selection as the drop-down header.

  1. In the pop-up, select if you want to apply the new date range to all widgets or not. 
  • Click the Apply to all button to update all widgets. 
  • Click the No button to update only the widget selected.

Set Comparisons

Comparisons let you view the change from one date range to another. Comparisons are available for the Appointments and Memberships widgets.

  1. Click the Advanced Filter icon
  2. Use the Date Range drop-down menu to select the date range to view. You may also select Custom to choose a specific date range.

  1. Use the Compare To drop-down menu to select what date range to compare your selection to.
    1. By default, the comparison is always set to the previous period. For example, if you choose the Date Range “This Month,” it will compare the data to last month. 
    2. Select “Previous Year” to compare to the same date range of the previous year.

  1. Click the Apply button to apply your comparison.

Appointments Widget Availability

The Appointments widget includes an additional option under the Advanced Filters to check for appointment availability. To display availability in the Appointments widget, you must set the Time Interval.

  1. Click the Advanced Filter icon.
  2. Set the Date Range and Compare To fields.
  3. Use the Define Availability Time Interval drop-down menu to select how much time must be available at once in the schedule to be considered an “available” slot.
    • 15 minutes
    • 30 minutes
    • 45 minutes
    • 60 minutes

  1. Click Apply to see the availability.

For example, if you want to see all available 60-minute time slots for the selected date range, select the 60 minutes option.

Note: Availability will display for up to 7 days in the past or 7 days in the future. A Date Range of more than 7 days displays a .
