Summary: This update includes several enhancements to the ability to sell and redeem packages and some Patient configuration in the Web App platform. It also includes enhancements to the Incoming Text Messages tab on the Desktop platform for practices that are enabled for the Web App, which makes the Web App and Desktop text message inboxes more compatible.
Note: PatientNow Desktop version 7.0.224 is only available for PatientNow clients using the cloud product and is available as of June 2, 2023. Your practice will receive a notification of the date in which you are scheduled to receive this update. It is important that you completely close and exit the PatientNow Desktop platform at the end of the day before your scheduled update.
- PatientNow iOS App updates require updating the app on your device to version 7.11.
- PatientNow Web App updates to version 1.7 are available automatically.

Sell Packages Enhancements
Several enhancements have been made to the ability to Sell Packages in the Web App. These include (but are not limited to):
- Viewing redeemed items in Financial History transactions
- Editing transactions with prepaid packages
- Editing transactions with redeemed items
- Returning items to the Patient’s Wallet
- Updated Redeem Items button
Patients Configuration
Referral Sources, Medical History, Family History, and Social History are now all configurable in the PatientNow Web App under Administration > Patients.

Desktop
Incoming Text Messages Enhancements
For practices that have the Web App platform enabled, some enhancements have been made to the Desktop Workflow > Task List > Incoming Text Messages to return some functionality that was lost on April 5, 2023 with the release of the Text Inbox on Web App. The enhancements include (but are not limited to):
- The return of the green text icon to notify users that there are new incoming messages
- Viewing Completed messages by default
- Ability to mark messages as unread or read
